The 6-Month Smile Program
The 6-Month Smile Program is a state-of-the art Orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth in three to six months. It is barely noticeable because we use clear brackets and wires.
Cosmetic Dentistry
At Dhillon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we believe everyone has the right to have an attractive, healthy smile and with cosmetic dentistry, we can give people the dazzling smile of their dreams. Aesthetic treatment can conceal misalignment, chips, cracks, broken or missing teeth, and discoloration, giving patients beautiful smiles. If you are interested in enhancing your appearance with cosmetic options, please give us a call to schedule a consultation.
Tooth-colored Fillings
Modern, tooth-colored fillings offer a stronger and more attractive alternative to traditional metal fillings. Using a durable composite material that is carefully matched to the color of your natural teeth, tooth-colored fillings discreetly conceal cavities while protecting and strengthening the damaged tooth. To learn more about this revolutionary treatment option, please contact us to schedule a consultation.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a relatively simple cosmetic dentistry procedure that can effectively correct a number of dental concerns, including chips, stains, cracks, and misalignment. During the dental bonding procedure, a layer of plastic or resin is carefully applied to affected teeth. The tooth-colored material is then shaped and polished to create a natural, uniform appearance and to improve the overall health and strength of the teeth. Crowns and Bridges
Porcelain crowns are durable, natural-looking covers that are placed over teeth to protect and strengthen them. Crowns fit securely over individual teeth and effectively conceal chips, cracks, stains, and other imperfections. Additionally, porcelain crowns function just like your natural teeth, allowing you to speak, smile, and eat with confidence. For more information about crowns and bridges, please contact us to schedule a consultation.
Porcelain bridges are a common solution for replacing one or more missing teeth. They work by anchoring an artificial tooth or teeth between two natural teeth. Bridges are fixed teeth in your mouth, and we use all porcelain materials that are amazingly realistic and long-lasting. Patients interested in porcelain bridges should also consider dental implants; implants can act as natural, free-standing teeth that can be brushed and flossed in your mouth and can produce a lasting, comfortable alternative to bridges.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for anyone whose smile is marred by chips, cracks, stains, minor misalignment, and other imperfections. Grafted from thin sheets of durable porcelain, veneers conveniently slide over the teeth to mask problem areas. Because porcelain veneers are carefully matched to the color surrounding natural teeth, they discreetly improve your overall appearance and provide you with a beautiful, healthy looking smile. Laser Whitening (ZOOM)
Tooth whitening is one of the easiest ways to significantly improve a person's smile because it can quickly lighten the teeth up to ten shades. Professional bleaching products remove deep-set stains caused by tea, coffee, red wine, tobacco, certain medications, the effects of aging, and other factors.
In-office ZOOM whitening is the quickest bleaching method because it can dramatically whiten the teeth in just one visit. When the in-office teeth whitening is performed, a shield is placed over the gums to prevent contact with the whitening solution. Next, a powerful but gentle whitening gel is applied to the teeth. A special light is used to activate the gel by breaking up hydrogen in the solution, which bleaches out stains. The entire process usually takes a couple of hours, although patients with severe stains may benefit from a second treatment or at-home whitening.
An at-home whitening system consists of custom-fitted trays and bleaching solution from our office. Every night, the trays are filled with gel and worn overnight. Depending on the severity of the stains and whether the patient wears the trays as directed, whitening can be completed in about one to two weeks.
Gum Treatment
Gum disease cannot be cured, but treatment can help keep gum disease from getting worse. To help maintain a healthy mouth, you may need treatments more than once. Scaling and root planing is done to remove tartar and other bacteria from the roots of the teeth. First, the teeth are cleaned (scaling). This removes plaque and tartar at and below the gum line. Then the root surfaces of the teeth are smoothed (root planning). This makes it harder for bacteria to attach to the roots. Ultrasonic instruments may be used during this procedure. These instruments use sound waves to remove deposits from teeth.
Antibiotic treatment is done to reduce the bacteria in the mouth that leads to gum disease. Antibiotics can be used in different ways. Antibiotic gels, chips, or powders may be applied directly to infected areas. Dhillon Family and Cosmetic Dentistry recommends Arestin as the drug to be applied directly to the pocketing area. Please contact Dhillon Family Dentistry for a consultation to discuss your needs.
Implants
It can be embarrassing to have spaces in your mouth where teeth are missing. But you are not alone. Some people lose teeth due to injury, tooth decay, or periodontal disease (infection of the gums and bone surrounding teeth). Others may not have had all their teeth grow in. Whatever the reason, dental implants can help replace missing teeth, and implants often feel more natural than dentures and other dental restorations. If you want a dental restoration that looks and feels as though it is really part of your mouth, dental implants may be right for you. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. Your jawbone fuses with the implant to provide a secure platform for a prosthesis (artificial tooth). If you are missing many teeth, several implants can be used to support a partial or complete denture.
Ditigal X-rays
Dental x-rays are an important part of a thorough dental examination. Digital x-rays are one of the newest x-ray techniques around, and instead of developing the film in a dark room, the image is electronically sent directly to our computer where the image appears on screen. The image is stored in our computer system. Digital x-rays offer the advantage of an 80 percent reduction in radiation for the patient. Please discuss x-rays and our policies during your visit or consultation.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide is a mild anesthetic used by dental professionals that is more commonly known as "laughing gas." It is a colorless gas with a pleasant, sweetish odor and taste, which has an analgesic (pain relieving) effect when inhaled along with oxygen as an air carrier during dental procedures. Please discuss the use of nitrous oxide and our policies during your visit or consultation.
